https://www.nytimes.com/2017/03/24/opinion/sunday/not-leadership-material-good-the-world-needs-followers.html?_r=0 What do you think about this NY Times article? I thought it was a fascinating read. I was going to put it on the Discord channel but we could use a little more forum traffic ![]() I think it brings up excellent points honestly and wanted to hear some thoughts other than mine own. |

Idt it applies to the UK. I mean sure some jobs look for leadership qualities if ur applying for a position w authority, but the thing at the end "What if we said to college applicants that the qualities we’re looking for are not leadership skills, but excellence, passion and a desire to contribute beyond the self?" Idk what other UKians think, but that's the vibe I got from most universities when I went through my applications (f*** UCAS, amirite?) |

Alpha children work much harder than we do, because they're so frightfully clever. I'm really awfully glad I'm a Beta, because I don't work so hard. And then we are much better than the Gammas and Deltas. Gammas are stupid. Oh no, I don't want to play with Delta children. And Epsilons are still worse. They're too stupid to be able to read or write. |

All men are physico-chemically equal. Besides, even Epsilons perform indispensable services. Everyone works for everyone else. We can't do without anyone. Even Epsilons are useful. We couldn't do without Epsilons. Everyone works for everyone else. We can't do without anyone. |

I think it's another attempt to classify people under categories. We are too complex socially to be placed in a basket. It doesn't account for people who swing into multiple branches. |

I love you Paladin. ![]() I would like to hear the opinion of some types in America, as I have gotten better responses from a few of them. |

After Epsilon comes Zeta, and nothing is worse than Zeta. Zeta is comprised of failed abortions and retards that are worthless to society. We just pretend they don't exist - because they don't matter. |

Zorcman is a rather smart man, although inbred doesn't disgust me, depending on the grade of proximity. |

![]() Could you guys post what the general definition of the personality types you're talking about is. Or maybe a site so I can understand what you're talking about. I can't relate what you're saying if you just use "What about Sigmas, Omegas, Thetas and Kappas? " What's the difference? No, i'm not talking to you Deann. |

Go to the Wikipedia page for Brave New World, or, if you're referring to Paladin, Google the major sorority houses. |

Cut this out. Do I honestly have to add a filter for Zeta to make people behave?
Regardless of what other forums they may belong to, I expect everyone here to act in a civil manner. This is not just targeting you but everyone who makes sly jabs. If this means you pretend they don't exist, so be it. You're the ones who are looking bad in this. There is no place on this forum for this sort of behaviour. This is Deep Discussion. Grow up. |

@Rockman: You definitely should. It's a great read, and also wholly relevant to the article at hand, although our posts were meant to be mildly humorous. @Tim: How do you know that he was referring to another forum? Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta, Epsilon, and Zeta are all letters of the Greek alphabet. I didn't interpret his post that way until I read yours and then looked at it again. Using the words "failed abortions" and "retards" in a post is worthy of criticizing, but Zeta? I hardly think it's fair to assume that he meant anything other than what we had already been talking about, which was caste systems in relation to the Greek alphabet. |
